EPI & Epicure Speakers:
The EPI 500

specifications - crossover schematic - order parts

Here is a vintage EPI 500 restored to "better than new" performance with the installation of a complete set of new HUMAN Speakers parts.

My thanks go to Carl for sending the photo in - and of course, for keeping these great speakers alive.

The EPI 500 is a bit unusual for its era, being the first EPI speaker to break with the simple two-way "module" design. It was the first to feature a midrange, and also uses two twelve inch passive radiators, in addition to the classic airspring concave dome tweeter and a ten inch woofer.

I make improved replacements for all the parts in this speaker, including drop-in new tweeters or rebuilding the original units. I usually rebuild the woofers on their original chassis, but I can also make new woofers for the speaker from scratch.
