To the right is a rather small photo of an original woofer, with its foam surround and faux carbon fiber plastic cone.
Below is a fairly nice photograph of a freshly rebuilt one.
This is a careful rebuild of the 6" woofer used in the following models:
I use a carefully chosen treated fiber cone, and a butyl rubber surround for longevity. This is much more like the original EPI and Epicure design for their six-inch woofer, yielding far better sound than the original - especially when combined with the PRO 002 ME2 tweeter.
Note: I cannot guarantee to be able to re-use the foam rubber trim ring, on the front between the surround and the basket lip. It depends on it being present and my being able to remove it without damaging it.
As far as I can tell, these do not have a part number sticker, although some have a date of manufacture stamped on the back of the magnet.
This part is a rebuild of your old part, which means you must send it in with your order.
