Servicing Other Speakers Here at HUMAN Speakers I do more than repair just Genesis and EPI speakers and build my own speakers. I also can recone, refoam, and rejuvenate all kinds of speakers. All my work is fully guaranteed. Being in this business, I am often only a few parts away from having the capability to repair just about any speaker. The range of what I am asked to do and what I can do varies widely. I have repaired torn flexible "tinsel" leads in local musicians' guitar amp speakers. I have done the Celestion recone kit in a 12" driver from a Vox AC-30. I have rebuilt old Wharfedale sand filled cabinets with my parts. Between this file and the "products" file I will try to explain to an extent what I can and can't do, and whether or not it is worth doing. First, I can usually rebuild most low frequency speaker drivers built in the US. I mention the US part because many European drivers use metric dimensioned parts which are just about impossible to obtain. I can rebuild and repair musical instrument/PA drivers. These sometimes cost a bit more than the chart in the price list, since they often use rather expensive, proprietary or incredibly high power handling components. Sometimes they just need to be "fixed" - I have seen many with small tears, screwdriver damage, or broken "tinsel" flexible leads. These can be repaired for much less than the cost of reconing. You should contact me about price and availability if you have a driver like of this type that you want repaired. |
