This tweeter is used as the replacement for the unit used in the speakers I call the "A" series (because of the prefix used in their model numbers). The original is distinguished by a thin red ring around the dome. They are very difficult to rebuild properly due to the way they are assembled, so I have developed a drop-in, plug and play replacement using my aluminum concave dome tweeter. The sticker on the back of the original, if it has one, should read "1019."
It is also used to replace the 4 3/8" diameter tweeter used in some Time Energy models. These are also not readily rebuildable any more. Using my replacement will actually bring them closer to the EPI heritage on which they are based, however. The nice part is that not only will they drop right in, but they will play perfectly with the original crossover. The original tweeter in this case should have a sticker that reads "0940."
The PRO 002 ME4 is also an upgrade for these speakers - the aluminum concave dome sounds better than the original phenolic or plastic domes.
This tweeter is 4 3/8" in diameter - I also build the PRO 002 ME1, which is 5" inches in diameter - please be sure to order the correct one for your speakers.
Since these are brand new replacement tweeters, there is no need to return your original ones.
