Magnet Structure "Potting"

This is something that Genesis Physics used to do on their top-of-the-line model 44 and 66. It was intended to make the physical relationship between the magnet structure and the basket even more rigid and well damped. They used to glue a cardboard ring on the chassis and then partly fill it with epoxy.
I do the same thing except I am using a polyurethane compound designed for filling gaps in concrete floors, because it is easier to handle. This option is available on all six and eight inch woofers I build, for DIY projects and also for EPI and Genesis replacements.
