Air Intake
HOME

This machine has an oil bath updraft style air filter.

Upon dismantling I found it at least had oil in it. And a tennis ball size hunk of goo. I cleaned it all up as much as I could, painted it, replaced the hardware, made the little mushroom weather cap easier to remove, and reinstalled with some fun PVC piping:

To check, top up, or replace the oil, all you do is loosen the key handled bolt at the bottom, and prise the cup off. You can almost see the oil level line that is marked on the metal bottom cup. It holds an even quart of motor oil.
